St. Louis Cards Takeover - June 29

This a church-wide Family Event. On June 29 at 6:45 PM, we’ve decided to takeover a Cardinals Game with Waypoint zeal! Join us for a summer evening game at Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis. We will cheer on our team together in a designated lower level section close to the field. Each ticket is $20, but the great news is that your ticket cost also helps raise scholarship funds for students to attend summer camp.  There is also an option to donate additional funds to go directly toward camp scholarships.

So let’s have fun and do some good at the same time... And could this be the game were Pujols hits 700 homeruns?!* Join us and we’ll find out together.

Waypoint Students University

Did you know that only 4% of Gen Z have a biblical worldview? Biblical illiteracy is at an all-time high with the next generation and church as a whole. Waypoint Students University will aim to provide our current high school students with the foundational and rich knowledge of correct biblical interpretation and doctrinal truth. On June 5th, we will launch a six-week course that will challenge, equip, and empower our high school students to grow in wisdom and application of the powerful truth of God's Word. The best thing is that it is free! Below you will find the course outline and you will want to make sure that your high school student joins us at 9:00 AM on Sundays at The Realm.

Biblical Interpretation 101:
A study of the historical background, rules, principles, and methods of sound biblical interpretation. The purpose of this course is to launch the student into the arena of formal biblical analysis. The student needs specific information, tools, skills, and guidance for properly studying the Holy Scriptures. This course assists the learner in using basic Bible study tools in association with proper procedures for gathering raw data and processing that data such that it can be interpreted and applied to daily living.

Week 1 (June 5th): What is Biblical Interpretation?

Week 2 (June 12th): How to read the Bible.
• How to read the Bible: Sentences
• How to read the Bible: Paragraphs
• How to read the Bible: Discourses

Week 3 (June 26th): Contexts-Meaning & Application.
• Historical-Cultural Contexts
• Who controls the meaning?
• Levels of meaning.

Theological Survey 101:
This course is an introduction to the basic tenets of Christianity. There is an increasing need for believers to be acquainted with a general overview of the basic doctrines of scripture and the concept of the Christian life. The aim of this course is to give a rational and practical overview of Christian doctrine so that the student can understand what Christianity is about. In contrast to other courses that attempt to defend Christianity against opposing worldviews and religions, this course focuses on familiarizing students with the basic tenets of the Christian faith and the application of those beliefs to one's life.

Week 5 (July 10th): Doctrine 101
• The Trinity
• Christology
• Pneumatology
• Soteriology

Week 6 (July 17th): Doctrine 101
• Ecclesiology
• Eschatology
• Applied Theology

Church Undivided

1 Corinthians provides a guide for unity, service, and interaction with worldly culture. If any congregation knew about problems, it was the church in ancient Corinth. Yet, these principles are as relevant and helpful today as they were for the early church.

In this practical, challenging book, you will discover:

  • How to navigate the tricky relationship between the church and our the culture
  • How to answer questions about rights, preferences, and gray areas among believers
  • How to protect and promote unity in the church
  • Why love and truth rank higher than liberty and individualism

Each chapter concludes with thought-provoking questions and a suggested action step so you can apply these truths to your own church community, ministry, and personal walk with God.

God calls us not only into community with other believers, but unity as well. With community comes great challenges, as we are all sinners. Church Undivided details God’s vision for unity in His church and Paul's guidance to create it within our own churches.
